Your audio is never uploaded
- Recording, cleaning and exporting all happen in your browser, on your device. Your microphone audio and the files you open are never sent to us or to anyone else.
- The page only loads files from this website: its code, styles, fonts and the noise-suppression model. It never sends your audio anywhere, and the site has no server-side code that could receive it.
- When you drop a file on one of our pages, it is passed to the studio inside your browser, not uploaded. The temporary copy is deleted as soon as the studio opens it.
- Exported MP3 and WAV files are made on your device and saved like any other download.
No account, no analytics, no cookies
- There is no sign-up and no login.
- There are no analytics, tracking or advertising scripts.
- VoiceStudio sets no cookies.
- Nothing is loaded from third-party services: no font services, no CDNs, no embeds.
- The microphone is only used after your browser asks you and you allow it. The site never uses your camera or location.
What is stored on your device
VoiceStudio saves a few things in your browser so your work is still there next time. It stays on your device. We cannot see it.
- Your audio library. The clips you record or open, with their name and length, in your browser's IndexedDB storage.
- A recording in progress. Saved every few seconds, so a crash or a closed tab doesn't lose it. It is cleared once the take is saved or discarded.
- Settings. Light or dark theme, your enhancement settings, basic or advanced mode, the last clip you opened and the microphone you picked, in your browser's local storage.
- An offline copy of the website. A service worker keeps the site's own files in the browser cache, so the app loads fast and works offline. It holds no audio.
The app asks your browser to keep this storage, so it isn't cleared automatically when space runs low.
How to delete it
- One clip: open the app and press the trash button next to the clip in "Your audio".
- Everything: clear the site data for this website in your browser. In most browsers, open the site settings from the icon next to the address bar and delete the site's data. This removes your clips, settings and the offline copy.
Server logs
Like every website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as your IP address, the pages and files requested, the time and your browser type. These logs never contain your audio, because your audio is never sent.
