When this Adobe Podcast alternative is the better pick

Private recordings

Interviews, therapy, legal, medical or school audio that should not leave your device.

Lots of audio

Long episodes or many files, without waiting for a daily allowance to reset.

Slow or no internet

Nothing to upload or download, and it works offline.

You want control

Every step is adjustable, and your original is always kept.

When Adobe Podcast is the better pick

Very heavy echo

Adobe regenerates the voice, so it can go further in a bare, echoey room. VoiceStudio reduces echo but keeps your real recording.

Very poor recordings

Adobe regenerates the voice, which can rescue audio that cleaning alone cannot.

Editing by transcript

Adobe Podcast Studio lets you edit audio like a document.

Questions

Is there a free alternative to Adobe’s voice enhancer?

Yes. VoiceStudio does what most people use Adobe Podcast Enhance Speech for: it removes background noise, reduces room echo, levels your voice and exports podcast-ready audio. It is free, with no account and no usage limits.

Does it sound the same as Adobe Enhance Speech?

No, and that is on purpose. Adobe regenerates the voice. VoiceStudio cleans your real recording on your device, which keeps your voice natural. It reduces echo too, but in a very echoey room Adobe can sound drier.

Is VoiceStudio open source?

Its noise removal uses RNNoise, an open-source model, and MP3 export uses the open-source LAME encoder. The VoiceStudio app itself is free to use, but its code is not published at the moment.

Do I need an account?

No. Open the page and start.

Is there an Adobe Podcast alternative with no daily limit?

Yes. VoiceStudio sets no daily, time or file limit. Very long files need a lot of memory, so on phones keep files under about an hour.

Is VoiceStudio made by Adobe?

No. VoiceStudio is an independent project and is not affiliated with Adobe.
