ai-coustics vs VoiceStudio: two different jobs

ai-coustics makes speech enhancement models that other companies build into their products. Its site talks about voice agents, speech-to-text accuracy and real-time SDKs, and its plans are priced in hundreds of thousands of minutes.

VoiceStudio is the opposite end. It is one app for one person with one recording. You open it, it removes the noise, evens out your level and exports a file. No developer account, no API key, no bill.

If you are building an app that needs clean voice input, ai-coustics is the kind of company to talk to. If you are recording a podcast, a lesson or a voiceover, VoiceStudio is the shorter path.

Where ai-coustics is ahead

Distortion

Its Rook model is described as removing distortion as well as noise and reverb. VoiceStudio cuts noise and echo, but cannot repair distorted audio.

Other voices

Voice Focus aims to keep the main speaker and drop people talking nearby. VoiceStudio treats a second voice as voice.

Live audio at scale

It is built to run in real time inside calls and voice agents. VoiceStudio cleans recordings.

Questions

Can I use ai-coustics without writing code?

Its website is aimed at developers: SDKs, a developer platform and docs. We could not find a simple upload-and-download tool for creators there when we checked in November 2026.

Is VoiceStudio built on ai-coustics?

No. VoiceStudio uses RNNoise, an open-source noise suppression model, running in your browser. It has no connection to ai-coustics.

Which one removes more?

ai-coustics models also target distortion and background voices. VoiceStudio removes background noise, reduces room echo and levels your voice, but it cannot repair distortion or separate two people talking.

Does VoiceStudio have an API?

No. It is a web app for people, not a service for other apps.

Is there a free ai-coustics alternative for creators?

VoiceStudio is one. It needs no developer account, or any account at all. Open the page and drop a file.
